God of war: Betrayal

gow_title1 With GoW: Chains of Olympus hitting PSP it's a good time to remember the one and sadly only God of war mobile game so far. Namely the God of war: Betrayal - an action platformer game (somewhat similar to The witcher- Crimson trail) that saw the light of the day some time in the second half of the last year. The game had great graphics and sound  and was visually as god of war-ly as possible - you had digital intestines and gushing blood all over the screen of your mobile. In fact the game mechanics worked so well that Gameloft obviously borrowed some of them (namely the finishing moves) in their so called hit Beowulf :)
Cutting through a number of opponents and bosses can get a little tedious at times, but the action is intensive enough so that you don't feel real boredom. Besides, if you're  not a console gamer this will be the closest you'll get to the God of war series, so I wouldn't really miss the chance.

Graphic and sound 8/10
Gameplay      9/10
Value for money   8/10
Novelty          7/10
Total          8/10

12

The bottom line - a step away from real greatness, the game deserves attention as the only God of War game on mobile phone.
